Yes. We offer mixed billing. Phone calls are bulk-billed through Medicare for eligible patients. Antenatal appointments and pregnancy blood tests (including NIPT-related pathology) are bulk-billed through Medicare for eligible patients, meaning no out-of-pocket cost. Private health rebates may also apply to some services — ask our team for details.

An endorsed midwife holds one of the most advanced clinical qualifications available to midwives in Australia. Unlike standard midwives, they can prescribe medications (such as nausea relief and iron supplements), order pathology and imaging, and provide Medicare-rebated care — managing your entire pregnancy independently, with specialist collaboration when needed.

Yes. Continuity of care is central to how we work — the same midwife supports you from your first appointment through to your postnatal visits.

Dr Stas provides bulk-billed obstetric phone consultations in collaboration with your midwife whenever additional support is clinically indicated.

We recommend booking as soon as you have a positive pregnancy test — ideally around 4 weeks. Your first appointment covers pregnancy confirmation, an initial care plan, and scheduling for your 8-week NIPT and blood tests. Early booking also secures your preferred clinic location.
